The all new Texas Speed & Performance "Street Racer" series of engines is designed to provide a quality engine for those that are on a budget. The TSP Street Racer 383 short-block will use a new GM Gen-III, LS1-style 5.3L aluminum block that is bored to 3.903". The rotating assembly will consist of a proprietary TSP forged 4.00" stroke crankshaft, new proprietary TSP forged 6.125" H-beam connecting rods with ARP 8740 rod bolts, your choice of Wiseco forged aluminum 2618 -3cc flat-top, -8cc dish, or -15cc dish 3.903" piston set, and Wiseco steel top/napier second ring set. The TSP Street Racer line of engines can safely handle 700 HP!
We keep the TSP Street Racer engines simple with respect to options because we want to keep the engines as cost-effective as possible. The TSP Street Racer will support mild boost and nitrous applications, but they are not intended for extreme applications (i.e. more than 8 psi of boost or 150 HP shot of N2O). For extreme applications, we recommend our TSP 383 CID using an LS6 block with many parts upgrades that will accommodate the more severe-duty setups. Since we keep the options very simple, it will be very easy to keep these short-blocks in stock! Every engine will come standard with the necessary oil and coolant plugs already installed in the block. We also offer additional discounts if you pay via a cashier's check or wire transfer. All engines will ship via truck freight, so if are purchasing online, the shipping costs listed will NOT be correct! We will contact you with a shipping cost after your order has been placed. All prices listed do not include the applicable shipping costs!

All TSP engines will include 12 quarts of Joe Gibbs break-in oil for no additional cost. Proper break-in oil and procedures for your engine are just as important as the build process! The Joe Gibbs break-in oil allows for proper ring sealing against the cylinder walls upon start-up, as well as for the break-in period once the engine is up and running. Most off-the-shelf engine oils do not have the necessary ZDDP additives to allow for proper break-in of a new engine, and we want to take every precaution possible to ensure that your new TSP engine receives a proper break-in!

Texas Speed & Performance offers the best short-block, long-block, and turn-key LS-based engine packages on the market! You will not find another in-house facility that is more dedicated to building a quality engine, nor will you find another facility that uses the same state-of-the-art equipment that we do. We encourage all of our customers to take a few minutes to research where and who your engine is coming from! Many facilities do not machine or build their engines in-house, and you also need to see how their facility is run to have an idea what goes into your engine. The TSP cylinder head and engine machining center uses the latest state-of-the-art equipment to machine the best engine possible, and every TSP engine is assembled in our climate-controlled clean room!
