PRC CATHEDRAL

227cc, 237cc, 247cc

The Precision Race Components fully CNC’ed cathedral port cylinder heads are offered in three different runner sizes to optimize any setup that you have! You can select the 227cc heads for engines running 4.00” bore size and smaller and requiring maximum piston-to-valve clearance on factory short-block applications where clearance is limited with larger camshafts. The smaller intake runner size offers maximum port velocity for a broad power curve on smaller CID applications. The 237cc cylinder heads are ideal for those running a 4.00” + bore size. For customers running a 4.03” or larger bore size, the 247cc heads are the perfect choice to maximize horsepower and torque across the entire curve! The 247cc head has helped to power cars into the 7 second range and past 1600hp! All of the cylinder heads will come standard with optional 6-bolt configuration to accommodate aftermarket engine blocks with 6-bolt capabilities, such as the GMPP LSx, RHS, and ERL Super Deck. They will also feature a .750” thick deck surface, which is ideal for nitrous or boosted applications. All cylinder heads can be milled to your desired combustion chamber size for no additional charge!

PRC CATHEDRAL AS-CAST

220cc, 225cc

The Precision Race Components 225cc as-cast cathedral port cylinder heads are an excellent choice for customers wanting the benefits of an aftermarket cylinder head without breaking the bank.  They feature a 225cc intake runner size, which is very similar to our 227cc runners, and they offer excellent port velocity for the smaller cubic inch applications.  These cylinder heads are an excellent bang for the buck without sacrificing power or quality.  They will come standard with the same 6-bolt configuration as the other PRC aftermarket cylinder heads to accommodate the GMPP LSx, RHS, and ERL Super Deck blocks, and they will also feature the thicker .750” deck surfaces for better holding capacity when running power-adders.  These are the same cylinder heads that were used on The Cutty from Discovery Channel’s Street Outlaws that made over 1,400 rear-wheel horsepower with a single turbocharged 408 CID engine and TSP hydraulic-roller camshaft!

PRC LS3 RECTANGULAR PORT

260cc

Precision Race Components’ LS3 rectangular port aftermarket castings will have a 13-degree valve angle and feature a thicker deck surface by over 50% vs. the factory GM head castings!  260cc LS3 aftermarket castings will offer improved piston-to-valve clearance over the factory GM castings, which allows for larger camshafts on factory short-blocks without the worry of clearance issues.  They will also come standard in 6-bolt configuration to accommodate the GMPP LSx and RHS engine blocks.  However, they will still bolt onto a factory GM production block if you do not have a 6-bolt block. These cylinder heads will feature a 68cc chamber size as standard, but we can mill them to your desired specs to achieve your required chamber size. The 260cc heads are ideal for forced induction and larger cubic inch setups.  Runner sizes are smaller than the factory LS3 cylinder heads, so the better port velocity will yield better low-end and mid-range power and overall response.  260cc cylinder heads will come standard with hollow-stem stainless steel intake valves to reduce valvetrain weight, which increases valvetrain longevity, RPM range, and overall power.  They are a great choice for customers looking to utilize a smaller intake runner size while still achieving up to 380 cfm of intake flow as seen with our 260cc cylinder heads!

PRC LS7 RECTANGULAR PORT

265cc, 285cc

The  Precision Race Components 265cc and 285cc LS7 cylinder heads are the pinnacle in high horsepower LS-based cylinder head performance for your LS7/LSx engine!  Flowing up to 54 cfm intake and 37 cfm exhaust more than the factory LS7 CNC ported cylinder heads, you can achieve 393 cfm with our 265cc and 407 cfm with our 285cc cylinder heads for your street-driven vehicle!  The 265cc cylinder heads will require a minimum bore size of 4.10”, while the 285cc cylinder heads will require a minimum bore size of 4.125”. Like our other PRC aftermarket castings, they will come standard in 6-bolt configuration with thicker deck surfaces, which make them an excellent choice for any power-adder application.  The standard valve material will include hollow-stem stainless steel intake and stainless steel exhaust, but we do offer an intake upgrade to titanium and exhaust upgrade to hollow-stem stainless steel to further reduce the overall valvetrain weight.  We do upgrading to the titanium intake valves if you are running over .630” total valve lift.  Whether you are looking to achieve 600+ rear-wheel horsepower in a naturally-aspirated build or 1,500+ horsepower in a forced induction application, the PRC LS7 cylinder heads will be an excellent choice!
